A lot of people call us thinking a Tampa RV rental has to stay close to Tampa. It doesn’t — every nationwide RV rental we hand over here, whether it’s a motorhome, camper van, trailer or fifth wheel, is yours to take anywhere in the US or Canada. Tampa is just where you pick it up.
If you’ve been eyeing the Smokies, the Rockies, the Pacific Coast Highway, or a loop through the Canadian Maritimes, you don’t need a rental company up there. You need one down here that doesn’t put a leash on your trip.
It sounds backwards at first — why fly or drive to Tampa to start a trip that’s headed to Montana or Maine? In practice, it’s pretty simple. Florida’s a major hub, flights in and out of Tampa are easy to find from most of the country, and our lot sits right at the I-4/I-75 junction, so you’re on a major interstate within minutes of picking up the keys.
Some renters fly in, pick up, and head straight out on a bucket-list loop. Others drive to see family a few states over and bring the rig back at the end. One-way trips are possible too — we arrange those case by case, so just ask when you book. Either way, the point stands: where you start isn’t where the trip has to end.
This is the single biggest misconception we run into. People assume a “Tampa rental” is a local rental — good for a weekend at the springs, maybe a trip to the Keys, and that’s it.
In reality, our rentals are built for real trips. Each one comes with a fleet-wide allowance of 300 miles a day and 5 generator hours a day, which is enough to actually get somewhere — not just putter around the county. Plan a two-week loop, a one-way cross-country run, or a slow meander up the East Coast. As long as you’re staying in the US or Canada, the rig is yours to drive.
We’re a family-owned operation on US Hwy 92 near the I-4/I-75 junction, and we like it that way — it puts us close to I-75’s north-south corridor and I-4’s run across the state, so wherever you’re headed, getting out of town is easy.
But “local” describes our address, not our service area. We work with renters planning trips to national parks a thousand miles away, snowbirds heading north for the summer, and families doing a once-a-year, state-by-state adventure. Tampa is the starting line, not the boundary.
We keep around 20 rental units on the lot — Class A, B and C motorhomes, travel trailers and fifth wheels — so there’s a reasonable chance we have something that fits your trip, whether that’s a nimble camper van for two or a full-size motorhome for the whole family.
Browse what’s currently available and get a feel for sizes and layouts before you call. If you end up falling for one of these rigs instead of just renting it, we also handle consignment sales — worth a look if “someday I’ll own one of these” has been on your mind.
Most of what’s on the lot belongs to local owners who rent their rigs out through us rather than letting them sit unused — which is part of why the selection changes and why it’s worth checking current availability instead of assuming a specific unit will be there.
Not everyone wants to pick up in Tampa and immediately hit the interstate. If you’re staying closer to home for this trip, we also deliver anywhere in Florida (farther deliveries are quoted case by case), so the rig can be waiting at your campsite or driveway instead of our lot.
And if you’ve got your own motorhome, boat, or trailer that needs somewhere safe to sit between trips, that’s a separate piece of what we do — RV, boat & vehicle storage, fully fenced with 24/7 gate access, cameras and no long-term contract.
A few optional add-ons tend to matter more on long-distance trips than short local ones: delivery and pick-up if you’d rather not come to the lot, and a prepaid sewage dump so you’re not hunting for a dump station the night before you return it. None of these are required — just worth asking about when you book if your trip is more than a long weekend.
If you’re active-duty military or a first responder, we take 10% off your rental as a thank-you. Mention it when you book — it applies regardless of how far you’re planning to travel.
For route planning once you’re on the road, the National Park Service keeps an up-to-date guide to RV camping and hookups inside the parks, and if Canada’s on the itinerary, Parks Canada is the equivalent resource north of the border.
Yes. Every rental is yours to take anywhere in the US or Canada — Tampa is just the pickup point, not a limit on where you can go.
Each rental comes with a fleet-wide allowance of 300 miles a day and 5 generator hours a day. That’s enough for most multi-state itineraries; just plan your route with that daily allowance in mind.
Yes. Our rentals cover travel throughout the US and Canada. Let us know your general route when you book so we can make sure the rig is properly prepped.
We accommodate one-way arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Reach out directly to discuss your plans — we’re flexible and want to make your trip work.
Bookings are held with a 30% deposit, plus a security deposit of $2,500–$3,000 depending on the unit.
Yes — active-duty military and first responders receive a 10% discount. Just mention it when you book and we’ll apply it to your reservation, no matter how far you’re traveling.
For long-distance trips, pickup is at our Tampa lot. If you’re staying closer to home, we also offer delivery anywhere in Florida, and farther deliveries are quoted case by case, so the rig can be waiting at your campsite or driveway.
